About Coach

Hi! I’m Sharon, one of the owners and coaches at Lakeside CrossFit. I’ve been doing CrossFit for over 12 years and officially coaching for the past four years. My passion for fitness began early, as I spent my youth competing in track and cross country, playing basketball, and snowboarding throughout high school.

I continued my athletic career at Washington State University, where I was a member of the Division I rowing team. During my senior year, I had the honor of serving as team captain when we placed fourth as a team at Nationals. After college, I discovered triathlons and competed for several years before finding CrossFit—a true game-changer.

Beyond coaching, I am a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Washington State University. I also hold a certification in Integrative Health and Lifestyle from the University of Arizona’s Center for Integrative Medicine. This expertise allows me to take a whole-person approach to wellness, blending evidence-based nutrition with sustainable lifestyle strategies to help individuals enhance performance, improve overall health, and achieve lasting results both inside and outside the gym.

Since beginning my CrossFit journey, I’ve had three children—Ashtyn, Maddox, and Axel—and can honestly say I’m now in the best shape of my life. CrossFit has given me a sustainable and empowering approach to fitness that is both challenging and fun. I love that every workout is different, pushing me to grow both physically and mentally.

What I cherish most is the community. There’s nothing better than showing up each day to train alongside friends, support one another, and celebrate progress together. Helping others build confidence, strength, and healthier lives is what makes coaching so rewarding.
